Abstract
Our study focused on constructivist educational beliefs, eco-friendly teaching attitudes, and mathematicalteaching efficacy of early childhood teachers to examine its relationship with and relative influence on therecognition of importance and degree of implementation of mathematics activities using natural objects. Forthis purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 399 early childhood teachers daycare centers andkindergartens in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon. The analysis found statistically significant correlationsbetween them. Mathematics teaching efficacy and eco-friendly teaching attitude had a significant influenceon the recognition of importance and degree of implementation of mathematics activities using naturalmaterials while controlling the period of careers of early childhood teachers, but constitutional educationalbeliefs had no influence. This study argues for the necessity of teachers positive recognition andimplementation of mathematics activities using natural objects and provides basic data for developing theteacher education program to enhance the frequency mathematical activities utilizing natural objects.
